A special server installation does not exist with the current license plug model. The license plug requires a locally installed driver. This must be installed before the first use of FBS. Moreover, in theory, no installation of FBS itself is necessary, that means the FBS programs can be started directly after copying.

However, an installation program is delivered and it is assumed that this is used. In addition to the driver installation and the copying of the actual FBS programs, the installation program would only register the file extensions and create start menu entries.

This results in the theoretical possibility of not installing FBS on every computer, but only once on a server and making it available to the clients via a network path. A solution would then have to be found to perform the once necessary actions on the clients (driver installation, register file extensions and create start menu entries), whereby iRFP would gladly help with automation.
